Gamers can take on the roles of different characters in the X universe, or of a Terran military pilot, and experience a multitude of stories in the largest X universe ever featured — for X3: Terran Conflict will offer more missions than any other X game before. Meanwhile, X3: Terran Conflict will pose questions such as: How has Earth changed in all these years? And how will relations between Earth and its counterparts in the X universe develop?

Avreliy Games presents an exclusive game that goes beyond traditional notion of casual games! Sea Journey invites you to the fascinating world of watery waste, fresh breeze and hot sea battles. If you are discontent with ordinary casual games, if you want something more exciting and challenging, Sea Journey is just the game for you. Match3 games have never been so thrilling and absorbing.
To begin with, the gameplay is quite original. The playing area is divided into two parts: a match3 field and a visual sea battle above it. As you put matching items in a line, they blow up and affect the course of the battle or give you some profit. For example, a line of cannon balls lets you have a cannon-shot at the enemy; wheels increase the maneuvering ability of your ship in the battle, thus reducing the enemy’s shooting accuracy; various gems designate special features; coins let you buy new ships, and scrolls give you extra experience for ship upgrade. You and your enemy have 3 moves every turn, but if you match 4 or 5 items, you get extra moves. The game provides you with useful tips that help to choose what matches are the most beneficial. The battle is depicted in detail and looks very spectacular due to advanced graphics. Epic music along with real-life sound effects makes the action immensely impressive. The battles are set in various places, so you can enjoy many magnificent views such as storms, sunsets, volcanoes and harbors. There are 4 types of ships: trader, pirate, guard and phantom; and each type has its peculiar characteristics. When you get more than one ship, it is up to you to decide which one is more suitable for a certain mission. All in all there are 50 levels in Sea Journey, and as you upgrade your ships and improve their capabilities, your adventures get more dangerous and difficult. Besides fighting with other ships, you can attack enemy forts. By the way, besides the main plot, you can enjoy seven fabulous mini-games, which also bring you a good round sum!

Spectrobes: Origins

Spectrobes: Origins

Spectrobes: Origins is an action role-playing game that pits you and your team of powerful spectrobes against a dark force that devours whole galaxies. It marks the first time that the series has made the leap from handheld to console and features a healthy variety of spectrobes and a promising battle system, but its core mechanics never mature enough to create a truly gripping adventure. It's also quite repetitive and beset by numerous annoying faults that make this a charming but unrefined button masher.

The plot is unexciting and predictable with flat characters and obvious twists, but it provides a sufficient backdrop that is nicely accentuated by spectrobes: creatures that fight alongside human masters. You're cast as Rallen and Jeena who are spectrobe masters. They are also members of the Nanairo Planetary Patrol, which is an organization dedicated to the eradication of vicious krawl monsters roaming the universe. After being sucked through a portal to the planet Wyterra, you must save the world from the krawl.
Similar to other monster-battling games, you'll lead a team of spectrobe creatures that span various elemental properties and types, such as fire and flying, to best foes and access new areas. Spectrobes awakened from fossils begin in child form and are easily managed via a virtual incubator room, where you feed them items you've collected to increase their health or experience. You can also evolve them to combat-ready adult form or train them via attack dummies, but otherwise, your interaction is fairly limited. Once on the field, child spectrobes are handy for unlocking doors and fetching items, and they're especially useful for solving puzzles as you explore open environments and robust temple ruins. These brainteasers are easy for the most party, but they're specifically tailored to each temple, so they at least keep the exploration vaguely interesting.
The real-time battle system is fast-paced and, at times, it's also fun. Combat actively incorporates the motion technology of the controllers in a refreshing twist where a simple swing of the remote commands your adult spectrobe to attack, while a tilt of the nunchuk dodges with your character. Spectrobes also employ devastating special attacks you initiate by holding the remote and nunchuk in a set pose, which is mildly entertaining. You can also perform basic combos by attacking the same monster with both a spectrobe and your character. Elemental attributes provide some depth by encouraging you to capitalize on a krawl's weakness, such as a plant-type krawl's susceptibility to fire. Weapon variety continues this theme and boasts several weapon types for your character--such as swords and axes that have elemental attributes--but these features are undermined by easy foes and dull button mashing. You'll also encounter some targeting difficulty when backed into corners or crowded because the camera swings and bounces the reticle, which reduces most boss battles to annoying tests of luck rather than skill. Spectrobe AI also irritates because the creatures will occasionally get caught on environmental objects or stand there as you're being thrashed, forcing you to reissue attack commands.
The tedious gameplay is worsened by the fact that you have to engage in excessive experience grinding. This additional leveling is needed to keep your full adult spectrobe team competitive with the krawl, who make significant level leaps, and because of the general difficulty in designing a well-balanced team that spans elemental types. Exacerbating this problem is a complete lack of spectrobe skill customization, because there's no way to tailor creatures to suit your play style or strategy. There's also little reward for leveling your spectrobes past a certain point, which makes grinding for experience even more of a chore later on.

A few minigames offer some fun, even though they're limited in scope. For example, one in which you excavate fossils determines the level of your spectrobes based on how carefully and quickly you free them from ancient rock. You can also resurrect spectrobes in a simplistic minigame by swinging the remote to mimic a brief musical tune. Spectrobes: Origins also boasts a two-player cooperative feature, which lets you instantly switch a friend into or out of the action. Your partner is limited to controlling your spectrobes instead of his or her own team, which works, but is a little disappointing. You'll also encounter additional camera oddities during co-op, because the camera closely follows your character but frequently obscures or abandons your partner.
The game's brightly colored and open areas are visually appealing and feature sun-scorching deserts and crystal-clear flowing streams. However, jagged edges appear on the otherwise smoothly detailed environmental objects and character models. There's a healthy variety of spectrobes, and child spectrobes are adorably designed and modeled after animals, though some--including flying onions and pink bunny slippers--are a bit zanier. Adult spectrobe design is sufficiently intimidating, and they are all accompanied by flamboyant attack effects, though those occasionally cause slowdown. The musical backdrop is quite soothing and subtle and appropriately matches exploration locales and soft ambient noises, such as rushing water, but it is slightly marred by a cheesy rock battle theme and grating attack cries.
You can complete the main story in around 25 hours, and this includes a fair amount of time spent leveling various spectrobes in your quest to design the ultimate team. The game does make use of some minor backtracking and sports very few side quests, though there are several unlockable bonus missions and a new side story rewarded upon completion. Spectrobes: Origins has a decent, if extremely primitive, foundation with fast-paced combat, two-player co-op, and a cute excavating minigame, but it fails to evolve into a more compelling and sophisticated monster battler.

The Good

  • Fast-paced combat with neat motion controls
  • Open, aesthetically pleasing environments
  • Good variety of creatures to control.

The Bad

  • Primitive gameplay
  • Combat gets repetitive
  • Lacks compelling creature customization.

wolfenstein

         Wolfenstein

The new first-person shooter from Activision, id Software, and Raven Software. The original Wolfenstein 3D shipped more than 17 years ago and as you probably already know it popularized the first-person shooter. Before Half-Life made scripted shooters all the rage, Wolfenstein 3D relished in the pure simplicity of roaming around big levels and blasting Nazis with an ever-escalating arsenal of weaponry. Call it the Inglorious Basterds of its day. This new Wolfenstein definitely borrows the spirit of the original, but it also has some new baggage, as well.
You play as Allied agent B.J. Blazkowicz, basically every German's worst nightmare. In Wolfenstein, you uncover a mysterious artifact using something called Black Sun energy, and it's up to you to stop the Third Reich from developing it into a weapon. And like that, you're sent to the city of Isenstadt, deep in the heart of Germany. There, you'll work with the local resistance group and another faction to halt the nefarious Nazi plot.

Killing Nazis never really goes out of style.
This isn't a purely linear, scripted game. Instead, like the upcoming Halo 3: ODST, the idea is that you use a city level as a hub of sorts that launches you into various missions. This lets you explore the city quite a bit, much like you may have explored the levels in the original Wolfenstein 3D. When you come upon German patrols, it's time to have some fun. You can meet up with contacts to get missions, which then lead you to various jumping off points that launch you into different levels. Once you're done, you return back to the city levels.

Unfortunately, this is where Wolfenstein also stumbles, because it feels like the designers didn't have enough faith in their ideas to fully develop them. You might think that this is a relatively large world or a blend of FPS and RPG, where you can accumulate quests from NPCs and then decide which ones to pursue. Instead, this freedom only gives you a thin illusion of open world gameplay. The city levels of Isenstadt are incredibly compact, and navigating it only takes a handful of seconds rather than minutes. You'll run along the same streets and alleyways a ridiculous number of times over the course of the game as you go between contacts of the local resistance group and other factions. Before long, exploration quickly gets dropped, especially since there's not much need to look at your in-game map as there's a constant marker on the compass telling you exactly where you need to go.

The Veil is the alternate dimension in the game.
Meanwhile, the mission structure is also fairly linear; you complete a mission for one group and then they tell you to go talk to another faction that will give you another mission, and so on. There's not much sense that you've got a lot of choice or freedom in the matter. There's no currying favor with one faction or displeasing another, either. They're just telling you where to go and what to blow up. At least the good news here is that there's a lot to blow up.

Combat in Wolfenstein might surprise you with the amount of environmental destruction at work. While you can't blow up walls and buildings, a lot of stuff does fly when grenades detonate, and plenty of cover gets shredded by gunfire. The core idea of killing Nazis is in good effect, as you can blast them with conventional weapons and when that gets boring or you start running low on ammo you can pull out your more exotic gear, such as the particle beam that pretty much vaporizes enemies. You can also upgrade your weapons considerably, using gold that you find and recover from the levels. You can't afford to upgrade every weapon, but if you have a favorite you can boost its range, accuracy, recoil dampening, and much more.

This wouldn't be Wolfenstein without a supernatural element. In this case, it's a mystical amulet that gives you special powers. Veil Sight sort of acts like night vision, but it also highlights enemy weak spots and, more importantly, it lets you travel to another dimension where obstacles in the real world might not exist. If there's a solid brick wall ahead of you, turn on Veil Sight and you might discover a gaping hole that you can walk through. This facilitates exploration and can be used to flank dangerous enemy positions. The rest of the powers are familiar to shooter fans; there's a bullet-time like ability, a shield ability, and a shield-penetrating ability that's useful in puzzle situations as well as against certain enemies.

Speaking of enemies, they'll run the gamut from Wehrmact infantry to SS troopers to Veil-enhanced foes, such as the armored Heavy Trooper and the Assassin. The more exotic foes are dangerous, but they have specific weaknesses that can be exploited if you use your Veil powers. And you might as well use them, too, because there's not much use rationing the Veil powers given that there's no shortage of special Black Sun recharge points throughout the game.

Upgrade your weapons using gold found in levels.
Wolfenstein has a solid, graphical look, and it looks the best on the PC, but it really begins to shine when you get into the missions that take you out of the city. There are a variety of environments that are well rendered, from an outlying farm to a vast underground facility to a monstrously huge zeppelin. The city of Isenstadt feels relatively bland in comparison. Character models are well done, but there's a sense that the graphics engine (built on the same technology of the one that powered Quake IV) isn't as state-of-the-art as it used to be. The audio is generally excellent, and it's nice to hear the accurate report of weapons in single-player. However, those same guns sound tinny in multiplayer.

The single-player campaign runs about as long as most; you'll probably get about six to eight hours out of it. Then it's on to multiplayer, and it's interesting in that it goes for a decidedly retro look and feel; it ditches the glossier graphics of the single-player game to give character models and animation that is reminiscent of Return to Castle Wolfenstein, the 2001 game. Yet the multiplayer modes themselves feel relatively rudimentary and they aren't as deep as the popular Return to Castle Wolfenstein mod Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, which is puzzling. Anothe problem is that Wolfenstein is competing against another recent Activision World War II shooter, the wildly popular and deep Call of Duty: World at War.

Multiplayer seems to forget Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory existed.
It's hard to see Wolfenstein peeling away players from those games, especially with just three modes. There's Team Deathmatch, Objective, and Stopwatch. Objective requires one team to carry out a task and the other team to try and stop them, while stopwatch is where both teams take turns in an objective-style level and try to beat each other's times. But it basically translates into lots of mindless running-and-gunning, and the quick respawn times means that there's not much penalty in dying. Plus, the game only supports up to 12 players, which means that the matches lack the scale of other games that have 16.
Closing Comments
With almost a decade between installments, it's impossible to argue that id is trying to milk the Wolfenstein license. Yet this also means that a lot of evolution has gone on in the genre. It's admirable that Raven Software recognized this with Wolfenstein, but you can't help but wish that they developed the kernel of the ideas in this game into something more. As it is, this new Wolfenstein comes off as an engaging, though otherwise forgettable, shooter.

continues the story where Most Wanted left off. For those just tuning in, Most Wanted ended with you recovering your stolen car and bailing out of the city of Rockport while the overzealous, anti-street-racing Sgt. Cross continued his pursuit. At the start of Carbon, you’re making your way to Palmont City when cross now a bounty hunter, catches up with you and totals your car during the chase. Before he can collect his bounty on you, though, your old friend Darius steps in and pays off Cross. You are then put to work, taking over the turf of the other rival street-racing crews in Palmont City. It seems that you’ve got a history in this town that predates the events in Most Wanted. And during the course of the game, you’ll learn more about that fateful night you skipped town. Different characters will give their takes on the night you supposedly ran off with a big red duffle bag full of cash. And by the end of the game, you’ll not only find out what really happened, but you’ll have taken over all of the street-racing territory in Palmont City.screens:-
