Legacy of Kain - it's not just five great games, it's a whole universe, the whole world born in late 1996. Events for all five games are in the fictional universe of Nosgoth - a world very similar to the culture and life of the medieval Europe. Its inhabit different races. But you will not find elves, gnomes, fairies and other cute creatures live there, vampires, demons, werewolves, mysterious people Hild?n and, of course, people. Well-being in Nosgoth is maintained by the colony, the nine pillars. Each column is a keeper. Keepers: intelligence, conflict, nature, death, time, measurements, states, energy and balance.

The plot begins with the murder of Ariel - the Guardian of Balance. Her body was found the Guardian Mind Napraptor. He falls into madness and it infects the rest of the Guardians, including a newborn new Guardian of Balance. This event was a complication of a complex, controversial subject throughout the series of games.
The series is divided into two branches, which are equally important. First: Blood Omen (Blood Banner), the main character is a noble Cain, who became a vampire and is the custodian of Balance, which took the place of Ariel. Second: Soul Reaver (Reaver), in which the player will learn the history of the demon Raziel - one of the vampiric sons of Cain. Both branches are merged into a common line in the fifth game of Defiance (Call).

No little importance in the game Soul Reaver sword. Ancient weapons, created an extinct race of winged vampires endowed vampire power suck the blood of its victims, but by merging with the soul of Raziel, the blade was able to absorb a soul. In the entire series reigns Gothic, dark atmosphere that can grab the attention of even the most experienced player. The plot is worthy adaptation. Series traces the history of Nosgoth for thousands of years. If you have not played in the Legacy of Kain, you can not expect faster go the long way through the dark and dangerous roads Nosgoth.
